1) International Symposium on Romanticism and Modernity
Between Sep. 28th and 29th, 2003, the Symposium was convened in CLLCS of SISU from Sept.28 to Sept.29, 2003 with 120 attendees from 40 universities and publishing houses, some of which are Pennsylvenia State University, Stuttgard University, Vietnam National University, TamKang University, China Academy of Social Science, Peking University, editorial board of Foreign Literature Studies, editorial board of Contemporary Foreign Literature. Through two days of academic communication and discussion, the attendees present at the Symposium further improved their understanding and research on Romanticism and Modernity.
2) 3rd International Symposium on Faulkner
Between May 27th and 29th, 2004, the 3rd International Symposium on Faulkner was held at the International Lecture Hall of SISU with the presence of 123 attendees from 40 universities and publishing houses, some of which are Pennsylvenia State University, Stuttgard University, TamKang University, China Academy of Social Science, University of International Business and Economy, editorial board of Foreign Literature Studies, editorial board of Contemporary Foreign Literature, etc. The theme of the Symposium is Faulkner in the 21st Century.
